Ethan Lara (performing as Ethan) is an Italian-Brazilian queer singer-songwriter and artist based in Milan with Tuscan roots, standing out as one of the most fluid and experimental voices in Italy's new pop and electro-R&B scene. Rising to prominence in 2016 by winning the Castrocaro Festival at just 18 years old, he has charted a constantly evolving path. He blends contemporary R&B, synth-pop, electronic dreamscapes, and shades of Brazilian Funk into an eclectic sound deeply intertwined with the worlds of fashion and visual aesthetics. Through pivotal projects spanning from the EPs Idiosincrasia and Giovane Cuore to his manifesto album Metamorfosi, Ethan rejects any restrictive labels. Instead, he explores his queerness, heritage, and the concept of transformation without filters, shaping an immersive musical universe where vulnerability becomes the core of his expressive strength.
